Receiving Flange Standards

Release time:

Sep 11,2024

Piping flanges are extremely common parts used in engineering design, widely used in piping design, equipment connection and other fields. Its importance lies in ensuring the safe connection and sealing of the piping system to avoid leakage and other safety problems.

Overview of Receiving Flange Standards

Receiving flange standard refers to the standard parts used for connecting pipelines and equipments, the design and manufacture of which need to comply with specific national standards or industry standards. National standard flange refers to the flanges produced in accordance with the provisions of the national standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 9112~9124-2010 Steel Pipe Flanges, whose materials and workmanship are in line with the national standards.

Domestic Standard System of Pipe Flanges

The domestic standard system of receiver flanges mainly includes national standards (GB), chemical industry standards (HG), machinery industry standards (JB) and petrochemical industry standards (SH). The national standard GB covers two major systems in Europe and America, and is compiled according to the European system and the American system respectively, which is easy to use. The chemical industry standard HG also covers these two systems, and in its own standard system can do the closed-loop design of flange selection, without reference to other standards. Machinery industry standard JB is mainly applicable to the European system, while petrochemical industry standard SH is applicable to the American system.

International standard system of receiver flange

There are two main international standards for receiver flanges: the European system and the American system. The European system is represented by the European Union EN, the main standards are EN1092-1 and EN1759. the American system is represented by the American ASME, the main standards are ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47. In addition, there is also the Japanese JIS system, but basically it follows the American system.

Classification and material of receiver flange

According to the connection method, the receiver flange is divided into flat welding flange, butt welding flange, socket welding flange, loose sleeve flange, threaded flange and overall flange. Materials include carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel and so on. Specific classification and material selection should be determined according to the use of environment and requirements.

Application and importance of receiver flange

Piping flanges are extremely common parts used in engineering design, widely used in piping design, equipment connection and other fields. Its importance lies in ensuring the safe connection and sealing of the piping system to avoid leakage and other safety problems.
